Went with Damo down to corfu in Greece to a place called the pink palace. Its one of europes most famous hostels, and with good reason. Basically it was just a total party hostel, We spent the nights drinking like crazy and the days recovering. Damo and i made some really good mates, Phil, James, Chris, Camilla, lauren, Megan, Kiara, Pete, Trent (Choo Choo), Angie, Leah, especially, though there were plenty of others as well. We didnt really leave the hostel, having its own pool, beach, 2 bars, 2 restraunts, and countless activites. We spent one day riding the quad bikes so i can say we managed to see corfu island, well at least half of it anyway, the bikes were awesome fun. We also did a booze cruze which i have to say was one of the best days of my trip so far, everyone was so laid back and chilled and just up for chatting and having fun cruising around Greece. We jumped off a rock and went swimming on a secluded beach. Phil Jumped off the boat in the middle of the ocean and we had to go back and save him… crazy bastard. The night continued on with copious more drinks being consumed in the bar. We also spent a day Kayaking around. Thats about all i can remember of it….. hmmmmmm. Next year im definately going to see much more of the greek islands
Went up to catch the edinburgh festival, It was amazing. There was so much stuff going on there, i think there were over 1000 shows on everyday at over 100 venues…. pick and choose from comedy shows, short films, theatre, bands, music etc etc all at a good price. I stayed at a funky little hostel about 20 mins 0ut of town but it had free shuttle bus and the hostel was super clean and had a gym and sauna and a funky bar. I went to a few shows, one about a bunch of backpackers and their experiences, i also saw Jimeon, Danny Boy, and Puppetry of the penis whcih was really just a bunch of blokes playing with their peckers on stage (not really as funny as i expected(although i wasnt really sure what i was expecting, just heard it was good)).
ended up back in london again where i met up with amber for a few days. We had a good old catch up and she seems to be going ok. her friends were great and we had a brilliant night out and stayed at Got rid of my car for 500 pounds (yes a loss of about 2200 pounds
but you live and learn hey??? shame some of those lessons are so expensive).
So i caught the ferry to Ibiza and on the boat i met up with this guy who i met in valencia. We got to talking and he was a bit strange, from South Africa, he was into witchcraft and stuff…. mmm anyway i needed a place to stay and he happened to have a spare bed in his room, which i was kewl with sharing as long as he didnt make a jump for it in the middle of the night. anyway we went out for a walk and ended up getting tickets to privelage which is the worlds biggest club and can hold more than 12000 people and has its own swimming pool (whihc you cant use obviously?!?!?!?!) anyway i thought it was totally overrated, but then again im pretty over clubs, i like to boogey but thats about all you can do in them, apart from trying to pick up slutty girls whcih isnt all that appealing. anyway we got home at like 5am (we managed to find some disco biscuits) but at 9am i was out of ibiza town and headed for the other side of the island, san antonio. This is where cafe del mar is…. which is pretty much the only reason i wanted to come to ibiza… I hung out with two awesome girls, Enza and Jo. They were great to party with, i actually met up with them in Madrid when i was hanging out with Jeremy and i happened to run into them at a cafe in Ibiza. So we partied on the beach at Bora Bora, and i must say that the most memorable thing about Ibiza was the Souvlaki (is there any doubt that im Taurean???) Food is my thing.
We decided to head off from lisbon so we could make it to madrid to see the bull fighting on sunday in madrid. We drove through the town of salamanca which has a few amazing churches but one incredibly massive one which was very beautiful. We only stopped here for a short while before heading on to Madrid. Back to the hostel Metropol. I quite like madrid, theres a lot of stuff going on there all the time and theres so many things to see and do. Jeremy and i went to the royal palace and the plaza del soleil
